A Little About Me…
I was a litigation attorney at big law firms including Jones Day, one of the nation’s largest. I had the privilege of clerking in federal court for a collective fifteen years, doing legal research and writing for four United States Judges. Helping law students and new lawyers is a passion of mine. Over the years, I have mentored and taught countless students the fundamentals of lawyering and helped new lawyers navigate their adjustment to practice. After serving as an adjunct professor of law, I moved to legal education full-time. I go beyond the traditional, one-size-fits all models offered in most “how to” books and workshops. I want to know what drives each student or attorney so I can focus on individualized needs. There are different ways of defining and achieving success in law school and in practice.
In terms of my own law school experience, I served as executive editor of the law journal and earned many honors and awards, including the law journal’s past editor’s award, the board of trustees’ student recognition award, the law alumni special recognition award, and best oralist in the appellate advocacy competition. I graduated with honors and scored in the top 5% of all applicants on the July 1998 bar exam. I am a published author and am committed to helping students and lawyers enhance skills and promote well-being and professional development.
In sum, I am passionate about empowering you to do your best. I’m glad you are here.
